| 1 out of 7 homeowners in Florida are facing foreclosures | | Pub Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2008 16:00:00 EST | | | Just so you have an idea that means more than 213,000 Florida homes are in some part of the dreaded foreclosure process. On a percentage basis, this is nearly double the national average. Florida has been hit pretty hard and we all think the worst is coming to an end. Florida should start the recovery process before other states for the sole reason that it has lost most of its appreciation already. There is not a whole lot of room to go down. If you are a buyer, this is a good time to get serious and start looking for that home you’ve been waiting for. Waiting longer will only cost you more money in financing since interest rates are expected to rise.
